Back in September 2020, Earth Conservancy received a $2,500 grant from ARIPPA to purchase water monitoring equipment for the Nanticoke Creek watershed.  Called leveloggers, the instruments collect data on water flow and temperature in 15-minute increments, which will create a detailed record of fluctuations over time. This can help EC better understand the hydrology of the mine pools underground, as well as changes brought about by EC projects, such as restoration of Espy Run’s missing segment.  We’re happy to report today the levelloggers were installed.  Shown here is EC’s Project & Operations Manager, Jason Tarnowski, and Field Technician, Michael Bowman, who were guided by Mike Hewitt, Program Manager with our frequent partner EPCAMR.
