Located in Newport Township, Earth Conservancy’s large-scale Leaf & Yard Waste Composting Facility has been serving Luzerne County residents and municipalities since 1995.  We process an average of 8,000 tons annually.

lumber, construction debris, stumps, pallets, dirt/rock, manure, food waste, tires, plastic bags, trash of any kind

To promote contact-free transactions, credit card payment is strongly encouraged.  Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover are accepted.  If paying by cash or check, a fee of $5 per load of compost or green waste will be charged.

Earth Conservancy’s compost facility will be closed from November 26 - December 4, 2020. We will reopen to the public Monday, December 7, for regular hours (Monday – Friday, 7:30am to 2:30pm).
