A man in a cap, t-shirt, and shorts uses a shovel to work the soil in a garden plot. Young plants grow in the foreground, with wooden stakes and trees beyond.
Every spring, Earth Conservancy opens its community garden in Plymouth Township for residents of Luzerne County.  The plots, typically available between mid-May and October, are available free of charge.  Water is included.  Participating is a great way to meet other gardeners and grow your own produce.  To reserve a plot for 2011, or to get more information, call 570.823.3445.
