It is with mixed emotions and sincere gratitude that we announce the retirement of Earth Conservancy’s President and CEO, Mike Dziak, at the end of January 2020.  Mike joined EC at its beginning in 1994. During those 25 years, he has proven a tireless champion for the organization’s mission of environmental and economic revitalization through the reclamation of legacy minelands. His leadership, acumen, and steadfast commitment have proven critical to EC’s many successes, including the reclamation of 2,000 mine-scarred acres, the construction of three AMD treatment systems, and the preservation of 8,000 acres for recreation and greenspace.  We thank Mike for all he’s done for the development and progress of Earth Conservancy, and wish him the best in his well-deserved retirement.

At left, Mike receives a citation from the Pennsylvania Senate for his “extraordinary commitment” to EC, sponsored by Senator John Yudichak (pictured) and Senator Lisa Baker.
